英国移民局公布最新的英国高技术移民（TIER 1）标准，该标准将于2010年4月6日开始执行。

◆首次申请英国高技术移民（TIER 1）签证将获得2年有效期签证，续签3年。
◆年薪超过15万英镑的申请人无需学历要求
二零一零年四月六日，英国高技术移民（TIER 1）开始执行最新的政策，原来的评分标准废除。 新的评分系统最主要的是提高了收入分标准，比原有的政策提高了50％之多，其次是允许本科生申请高技术移民，以及扩大了年龄叫分的范围。综合来看高技术移民新政应该会阻止70％申请人的申请资格，可以成功的保护英国高失业率的就业市场，防止了外来移民对本国就业的冲击。
